IGNITE Retreat 2025 Recap: A Weekend of Renewal and Revival
From October 24–26, over 110 high school students from 12 local high schools gathered in Marble Falls for the annual Ignite Retreat– a powerful weekend of worship, teaching, and community. Guided by a dedicated team of 16 young adult leaders, students experienced a refreshing time of spiritual growth and connection.
Throughout the weekend, Sam Langenbahn led three impactful sessions on Revelation 2 and 3 in a series titled “Letters to the Church.” His messages challenged students to consider what it means to live faithfully and love deeply as members of Christ’s Church. On Sunday morning, Rob Billingsley wrapped up the teaching series with a moving talk on the church at Philadelphia, encouraging everyone to persevere with steadfast faith.
Worship, led by Isaac Pittman, set the tone for the retreat-powerful, Spirit-filled, and deeply unifying. On Saturday, students had the opportunity to participate in eight breakout sessions focused on discipleship practices, each led by passionate leaders who equipped them with practical tools to live out their faith daily.
A special thanks to those who generously give to One Day Closer, your generosity made it possible to provide 10 scholarships to help cover student registration fees-ensuring that more students could experience all that Ignite had to offer.
The weekend was marked by powerful times of worship and prayer, laughter, new friendships, and a renewed sense of purpose. As one student shared, “Ignite reminded me that we’re not alone in our walk with Christ-we’re part of something bigger.”
Ignite 2025 was more than a retreat; it was a glimpse of the Church alive and on fire for Jesus.

We are accepting applications for our One Day Closer summer Internship! This is a paid internship that runs May 22- July 24th. It is based out of Austin and free housing is available if needed. All interns will lead at least two One Day Closer Mission Trips.
This year’s trips include: Dominican Republic, Galveston, New York and Greece.

Our annual Ignite retreat was an incredible weekend! We hosted 110 kids from 14 different high schools in the Austin area! We are in awe of how the Lord continues to move on the hearts of the youth in Austin and we are so grateful to get to be a part of it!!

Our London trip was heavily focused on evangelism throughout the city. Our team had the opportunity to meet, have conversations with, and pray over people from dozens of different cultures and backgrounds. We had several events such as home churches, worship nights, and even a neighborhood barbecue that we were able to invite people to! This allowed us to connect the people we met with believers who live in the city of London. We are praying for long term relationships and for each person we met to continue to feel loved and seen by the Lord!

London trip so far! We have been blessed to meet so many incredible people through sharing the hope of Jesus in east London. Please pray for strength over our team, for softened hearts toward the gospel, and for followup with the people we have shared with. It had been such a great trip already and we are only two days in!
