Ignite

A student-led movement that started in 2020. A group of twelve students met under the direction of Rob and Kristi Billingsley to pray for revival in the Austin area, particularly in their schools. Students faithfully met through COVID in the Billingsley’s backyard. The heart of the movement is that young people do not need to wait till they are older to step up and lead. Students from all over the Austin area continue to meet weekly for a message, worship and prayer–which is led by their peers. The group has grown to almost 400 students. We were blessed to baptize 75 students through this ministry last April.

I remember the first time I came to Ignite, I was struck by how little performance there was and how the entire thing was just genuinely trying to honor God and equip each other for doing that every day of the week. Since then my relationship with the Lord has grown exponentially through Ignite, and I've been blessed with such a solid community from there. Whenever I'm trying to get anyone to come I always try to let them know that it is the most spiritually beneficial thing I've ever been a part of and If they keep coming, The Lord can use that for His glory in their lives just like He did in mine.

Want to Support Ignite?

Although this is a student led ministry and doesn’t cost a lot of money to run, we do have some expenses that we would like this ministry to support: worship set-up and equipment, discipleship materials, food/drink, etc. We hope in the future to purchase a projector, chairs, more speakers and other materials.
